Court Upholds Life Term Sentences Issued against Appellants over Ma’ameer Blast Case

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's High Appeals Court upheld first-instance verdict sentencing 5 appellants to life prison terms over Ma'ameer blast case.
The minor criminal court had sentenced 5 appellants to life prison terms after convicting them of carrying out a blast, acquiring explosive without a license from the competent party and damaging public properties for terrorist aim. The court also bound them to pay 250 BD for the damages and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
The authorities claim that on August 14, 2015m when the policemen were in Ma'ameer removing the barriers put by the protestors, a bomb planted among the barriers blasted and caused damages to the ministry of interior's vehicle.
