Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini judges addressed King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa urging him to treat them equally to their fellows who received real estates documents.
According to the Al-Ayam newspaper, the judges condemned their exclusion for not meeting the terms without knowing the missing conditions that prevented them from the grant. The judges said that they don't have lands or houses, adding that they live in rented houses and have debts on their burden.
Bahrain Mirror had revealed that the head of Judiciary, Salem Al-Kuwari, was granted a villa, located in one of Bahrain's new luxurious residential cities, Durrat Al-Bahrain, worth of 500,000 Bahraini Dinars as a gift from the royal court. This raises questions regarding the independence of judiciary in Bahrain.
