Bahrain Mirror: Activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh said on Sunday (March 5, 2017) that Ahmad Isa Al-Malali (23 years) sustained a gunshot wound and multiple fractures.
Al-Malali was among the 10 people whose boat was attacked by special forces. Rida Al-Ghasra, Mahmoud Yahya and Mostafa Yousif were martyred as a result, while Hamed Al-Abed and his brother Mohammad Al-Abed were injured. The Ministry of Interior said the 10 people were trying to flee the country on February 9, 2017.
The authorities, however, did not mention anything about Al-Malali's injury.
"After 23 days of detention in the Criminal Investigation Building, Ahmad Al-Malali stated that he sustained a gunshot wound and multiple fractures," Al-Saegh said on her Twitter account.
Since then, families of detainees who were on the boat were not allowed to meet them.
Family of injured Hamed Al-Abed stressed that they know nothing about him and that the authorities did not allow him to call his family. While he was receiving treatment, Mohammad said that he saw Ahmad heavily bleeding in the military hospital.
