Bahrain Mirror: The central committee in the National Democratic Action Society "Wa'ad" rejected the accusations raised by the ministry of justice against the society and considered them among the steps that target the freedom of political action in Bahrain and confront the political and economic reform attempts followed by Wa'ad.
The committee said that Wa'ad is committed to the Constitution, National Action Charter, regulating laws, its statute and general program. It sees that the reasons demanding Wa'ad's dissolution are not based on true facts and realities.
It stressed that the society sticks to its peaceful and democratic approach and its respect to all judicial sentences based on justice principles, and said that the society "presented its visions along with the opposing political forces to solve the political crisis, and stressed on the necessity to find out a solution for the political crisis through dialogue and inclusive political solution that leads to winning of all people. This highlights Wa'ad's peaceful approach and its adherence to dialogue as a way for solution, contrary to what the ministry of justice claims in its accusatory list."
It stressed that the power of any political system or any state relies in the existence of a political opposition that practices criticism in order to correct the deviation in applying policies and programs. This is exactly what Wa'ad has done since its establishment until now.
The committee hailed all the solidarity and support steps taken by the Bahraini people and forces, on top the democratic political societies and human rights organizations.
The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments announced on Monday (March 6, 2017) that it has filed a lawsuit demanding to dissolve the National Democratic Action Society (Wa'ad) and accused it of "promoting forceful overthrow of political regime".
