Bahraini Authorities Release Dr. Ali Al-Ekri after Serving 5-Year Jail Term

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security forces released on Friday (March 10, 2017) the consultant orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ali Al-Ekri, after serving his 5-year jail term sentence.
Al-Erki was arrested in March 2011 over treating people who had been injured during February 14th protests.
Al-Ekri and the medial cadre were temporarily released after international pressures, with their continued trials. Meanwhile, Al-Ekri returned to prison after his 5-year jail term was upheld.
