Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq Secretary General, Sheikh Ali Salman, said in a phone call from Jaw Central Prison, that the prison authorities are trying to force detained opposition figures to move while in handcuffs, even to the prison clinic. This comes as part of a series of new escalating measures against detainees.
He further added that the Jaw Prison administration imposed on the detained opposition figures to wear the grey prison clothes during visits, and while going to the clinic or while moving around, after they were not forced to wear it.
The Jaw Prison administration has been imposing new restrictions against political detainees in its premises since 10 prisoners successfully escaped early this year.
