Bahrain Mirror: The streets of Bahrain witnessed on Friday (March 24, 2017) vast protests after the announcement of martyrdom of Mustafa Hamdan (18 years old), due to a bullet fired at his head after regime forces attacked the Diraz sit-in last January.
Protesters held photos for martyr Hamdan, and shouted slogans against King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, deeming him responsible for the deterioration of security situation in the country.
Regime forces opened fire at demonstrators in Diraz, which staged mass rallies in support of the sit-in outside the house of religious leader, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim.
Some protesters sustained injuries by shotgun bullets, while civilian vehicles were damaged.
Moreover, a protest took to the streets of Karbabad, Mustafa Hamdan's hometown, calling for the revelation of his killers.
Since last January, the government has been silent about this incident.
Dozens of Bahraini areas also witnessed the breakout of many protests that called for adherence to demands in putting an end to the Al Khalifa monopoly of power.
