3 to 7 Years Prison Verdicts against 5 Defendants for Burning Tires, Planting Fake Bombs in Buri

Bahrain Mirror: The Fourth High Criminal Court ruled the imprisonment of 3 defendants to 7 years in prison, and 2 others to 3 years in prison, in case linked to planting fake bombs in the town of Buri.
The defendants imprisoned for 3 years, are 15 years of age, and under 18 years at the time of the incident, therefore their sentence was eased in accordance with article 70 and 71 of the Penal Code.
The court ruled against the defendants, stating that on September 25, 2016, along with unknown individuals, planted two fake bombs on a public highway for terrorist purposes. Moreover, they were charged of burning tires, and taking part in illegal assembly, causing disturbance and violence. They were also charged with possessing Molotov Cocktails.
