10% of Bahraini Families Receive Social Aid

Bahrain Mirror: Official numbers showed that around 15 thousand Bahraini families receive social aid from the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in 2016. This is equivalent to about 10% of the total number of Bahraini families, while is just over 149 thousand families.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Development noted in comment on a parliamentary proposal in the Parliament meeting, that "there is around 15 thousand Bahraini families benefiting from social aid." It also indicated that the minimum aid distributed on these family is 70 dinars (per family member), and 120 dinars for two individuals (married couple), with a 25 dinar raise for each of their children.
