Iran Releases 21 Asian Sailors after More than 5 Months of Imprisonment over Charge of “Entering Territorial Waters”

Bahrain Mirror: The Iranian authorities released on Monday 21 Asian sailors arrested over entering Iran's territorial waters since over 5 months.
The bailsmen of the sailors said that latter were arrested since over 5 months and that they were subjected to inhumane treatment, as they were arrested in their boats without being provided food and medical care. The bailsmen added that the sailors were sued twice and fines were imposed on them in both of the trials.
Hani Hassan, who 10 Asian sailors working with him were arrested, said that he paid about 12 thousand BD on two payments due to repeat of trial.
Habib Abbas told the Al-Wasat newspaper that he received on Tuesday 6 sailors working with him after the Iranian authorities released them on Monday. Meanwhile, Yousif Al-Alaywi affirmed that the Iranian authorities released on Monday 5 sailors working with him, stating that they were arrested since 4 months.
It is to mention that the Iranian authorities arrested those sailors after they caught them over the charge of entering the Iranian territorial waters via 3 Bahraini boats. The sailors were sentenced to fines after less than month of their arrest and they paid these fines, however, they were not released.
