Appeal: 3-Year Jail Term to Defendant Accused of Burning Tires in Samaheej

Bahrain Mirror: The Supreme Court of Appeals presided over by judge Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa and Naji Abdullah as secretariat upheld a first-instance verdict ruling a suspect to 3 years in prison.
The high criminal court had sentenced 4 suspects to 5 years in prison and 2 others to 3 years over assembling and burning tires in Samaheej.
The Public Prosecution accused the suspects of deliberately burning in 2014, along with other unknowns, movables, taking part in an assembly of more than 5 persons aiming at disrupting public peace and acquiring Molotov and explosives.
Ten people gathered in Samaheej, burnt water tanks and tires to disrupt traffic, hurled Molotov against the forces situated in the region and fled away. The suspects were chased by the policemen and the first one was caught.
