Bahrain Mirror: Security Authorities released 4 Shiite clerics after interrogating them over taking part in the mourning events in memory of an Iraqi religious scholar.
Activists on Social media said that authorities summoned clerics Sheikh Ali Rahma, Sheikh Ali Al-Juffairi, Sheikh Hussein Al-Marzooq and Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sayyad for interrogation.
They were interrogated over taking part in the commemoration of Shiite Scholar Mohammad Baqer Al-Sader, who was assassinated by the Sadam Hussein Iraqi regime in 1980.
The Bahraini authorities have been exerting pressures on Shiite clerics since the citizenship of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim was revoked in June 2016. Dozens of Shiite clerics were summoned, and many among them arrested.
