Cassation Court Annuls Appeal Verdict Ruling NIHR Evacuates Headquarters

Bahrain Mirror: The Court of Cassation accepted yesterday the appeal formally submitted by the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) concerning a ruling ordering it to evacuate its headquarters.
The Supreme Court of Appeal had upheld the verdict ruled by the First Instance Court, ordering the NIHR to evacuate its building, pay the plaintiff 45,500 BD, and pay fees and expenses.
The plaintiff claimed that the NIHR owed him rent in money and time, of the premises, as it occupied the premises throughout the period between (April and October 2013) without paying any of its rent dues.
