Bahrain Mirror: Head of Jaffaira Endowments (Waqf) Sheikh Mohsen Al-Asfour hailed the royal order that stipulates forming a legislative committee to review the unified family law, stating that accomplishing it rapidly is considered a "National Benefit".
One who realizes the real problems of issuing contradicting sentences between the judges in the same case or issued by the same judge in similar cases understands the importance of speeding up resolving this issue that the contemporary Islamic judiciary faces, as well as guaranteeing the preservation of its articles," Al-Asfour said in a statement.
"Thanks to God, I had the honor to set up the first code of personal status bill in the history of Islamic law in Bahrain in 1998, in general, and the Jaffari Islamic law in particular," he added.
Al-Asfour concluded his statement saying "we put our hands in the hand of the king in order to hasten the preparation of the code of personal status provisions with Islamic mechanism and guarantee that are compatible with the doctrinal peculiarity that is considered a concern to the followers of every doctrine of Islamic sects."
