Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Ministry of Interior started to implement its decision linked to doubling the fees on car parking spaces in Manama and the Diplomatic Areas since last Sunday.
According to Al-Ayyam daily said that at the same time, "Ministry of Justice employees suffer from the lack of increase in transportation allowance, even after the increase in oil prices and parking fees around the Ministry."
A staff member at the Justice Ministry said that the Ministry "started to withdraw the cards of leased parking spaces from old employees, and decided the provide transportation services to the Diplomatic Area from the Al-Fateh Mosque area in Juffair area. Employees will be allowed to park their cars there."
Moreover, another employee said that the recent decisions will negatively affect cases and files managed by the Ministry, as the employees will arrive to their offices late and leave late. He also pointed out that most employees refused to park in Juffair, returned to the diplomatic area with their cars, and took upon themselves the cost of the park meters.
