Bahrain Mirror: A number of medics complained that the Ministry of Health has not yet given them their dues in return to the work they did during the Formula 1 Race in 2016 and 2017. The Ministry of Health had informed some medics that they will be compensated for their work last year soon.

According to Bahraini daily newspaper al-Wasat, some medics said, "We received promises from officials in the Ministries that our financial dues for our overtime in Formula 1 races in 2016 will be given to us in April 2017. We were however surprised that they were not paid."

They confirmed that some followed up with the Ministry of Health, and they were verbally informed that they will be compensated for their work. This comes at a time when 15 medics left the Ministries, whether for retirement or resignation. The medics also notes that they are understaffed, and have to do overtime without being compensated for them.

"In order to contribute to the success of this national event, we did our best, and work from 12 to 16 hours continuously," they clarified, calling on officials to hurry in paying their dues.
