Court Acquits Defendant of Putting Explosive Body, Convicts him of Planting Hoax Bomb

Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court sentenced a defendant to 5 years in prison over putting a hoax bomb in Isa Town and acquitted him of attempting to blast a real bomb and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
The Public Prosecution accused the suspect of attempting, along with others, on May 21, 2015, to blast a bomb aiming at intimidating people, however, it did not blast. The prosecution accused the suspect of manufacturing bombs, along with others, without a license from the ministry of interior for a terrorist aim, and planting, along with other unknowns, hoax bombs on the public street.
The court charged the suspect with putting hoax bomb, but said that the evidence were suspicious and thus acquitted him.
