Bahrain Mirror: The Minister of Labor and Social Development and head of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, Jameel Humaidan, said that a new formation will soon be announced for the Social Insurance Organization, to include representatives of workers.
In an interview with Al-Ayam daily, the Minister claimed that cases of dismissal and complaints of delayed salaries in Bahrain are individual cases and cannot be addressed as a "phenomenon". He revealed a plan his ministry is conducting, in collaboration with and under the funding of (Tamkeen), to support a group of projects that could help link education outputs with the labor market.
According to him, these projects would help raise the level of careers and assess salaries in accordance with actual capacities through training programs set by training institutes and Centers. He added that this would help locate the graduates in the labor market and know their wages.
Moreover, the Labor Minister announced that his ministry will launch a center that would measure and test the skills of workers, noting that foreign workers will also be tested in case employers requested.
