Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Court presided over by judge Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa and memberships of judges Dia'a Huraidi and Jamal Awad and Abdullah Hassan as a secretariat sentenced a defendant (20 years) to 5 years over beating a first lieutenant.

The court convicted the suspect because on September 1, 2015 he attacked one of the public security members; a first lieutenant, causing him the injuries mentioned in the medical report for and while performing his job, noting that the attack did not hinder him from performing his personal works for more than 20 days.

The authorities claim that on September 1, 2015, a police station received a notice stating that a fight broke out between a number of people at around 7:30 PM in Al-Dair village and that one of the people was stabbed with a knife. The officer investigated the incident to reach the perpetrators, thus, he went with the third witness, the first lieutenant. When the first lieutenant met the suspect and told him about his identity, the suspect pushed the lieutenant to the ground and started kicking him on his different body parts, causing him the injuries mentioned in the medical report. The second suspect, a first lieutenant, then interfered, and controlled the suspect.
