Bahrain Mirror: The Supreme Court of Appeals presided over by judge Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa and secretariat of Naji Abdullah commuted a life term sentence of an appellant to 15 years and upheld a whole life sentence against another.
The First High Criminal Court issued on September 7, 2016 life term sentence against 2 defendants over attempted murder of policemen through firing against them in Sitra, putting hoax bomb and deliberate arson.
The authorities claim that the 2 defendants agreed with other unknowns to kill any policeman they can reach. They prepared arms, tire, hoax bomb and Molotov and agreed to put the hoax bomb on the public street and set the tire to fire to allure policemen to the place where the first suspect hid to fire against them.
