Appeals Court Upholds Execution of Maher Al-Khabbaz, Life Term Sentence against 2 & 10-Year Jail Term against 6 Others

Bahrain Mirror: The Supreme Court of Appeals presided over by judge Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa and secretariat of Naji Abdullah issued its verdict in the case overturned by the cassation court, accepted, unanimously, the appeals of Maher Abbas (Al-Khabbaz) in form and upheld the death sentence issued against him over killing a policeman in Al-Sahla.
The same court accepted the appeals presented by Fouad Ali Fadel and Fadhel Abbas and upheld the life term sentence issued against them. The court also sentenced each of Mohammad Abbas Ahmad, Falah Ali Fadel, Ibrahim Abdullah Shabib, Isa Abdullah, Khalil Ibrahim Al-Qassab and Mortada Abbas Ahmad to 10 years in prison.
