Court Upholds 10-Year Prison Verdict in Case Linked to Burning Fuel Station

Bahrain Mirror: The High Criminal Court overruled the appeal of a defendant against a 10-year prison verdict, and upheld the sentence in a case lined to burning a petrol station on the Formula 1 road. He was obliged, along with another defendant, to compensate for the damages an amount of 1085 Bahraini Dinars.
The details of the incident indicate that on October 20, 2014, the defendants set fire to the property of "Sakhir Fuel Station", thus endangering the lives and properties of people. The defendants are also accused of possessing flammable Molotov cocktails. Moreover, authorities claim that they threatened victims (two Asian workers at the station) with a knife.
