Local Newspaper: Internet Disruption in Diraz Increased after Raid

Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wasat newspaper said that disruption on the Internet services has increased since the security forces raided the village resided by 20.000 citizens, adding that the Internet access is cut off for 12 hours daily.
Residents stated that one of the communication companies deliberately increased the hours of Internet shutdown, the newspaper reported.
It added "before the security operation carried out in Diraz on May 23, 2017, the Internet was disrupted for 6 hours (7 PM- 1 AM). However, after the operation, one of the communication companies doubled the internet disruption for 12 hours (1PM- 1 AM)."
The communication companies deliberately cut off Internet in Diraz based on official orders since the citizenship of the spiritual leader of Shia majority, Sheikh Isa Qassim, was revoked and an open-ended sit in was staged for 11 consecutive months, before it was forcibly dispersed on May 23.
