Local Newspaper: Governmental Trend to Add Foreigners to Pensions & Insurances Funds to Raise Contributions

Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Ayam newspaper, owned by the King's Media Advisor Nabil Al-Hamr, said that the actuarial expert assigned to study the situations of pensions fund recommended to increase the number of participants through the participation of foreigners in pensions and insurances funds.
The newspaper indicated that there are around 600 thousand foreign workers in Bahrain who will form an important percentage in case added to the retirement funds.
The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority stressed that it reported its visions about the auctorial deficit to the government, along with some solutions presented by the expert, on top insuring the foreign workers in the pensions fund.
It added that the actuarial expert will return to Bahrain next year to study the situations of the fund, its liquidity and investments.
