Bahrain Mirror (Agencies): The official Jordanian News Agency (Petra) said on Tuesday (June 6, 2017) that Jordan decided to downgrade its diplomatic representation and withdraw the license of Al Jazeera channel in the Kingdom.in Qatar, after Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain severed on Monday all ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism.

Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Al-Momani said the decision was taken following a review of the reasons of the crisis between Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain on one hand and Qatar on the other.

The minister said Jordan hopes that the Arab countries overcome this "regrettable stage" and resolve the crisis on a solid ground that ensures all Arab countries cooperate to build a better future for their peoples.

Meanwhile, Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc canceled flights via Doha to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Egypt after they severed diplomatic ties with Qatar, state news agency MAP and the airline's customer service said on Tuesday. MAP said Royal Air Maroc flights via Doha to those countries could not be guaranteed, and the airline's customer service said flights would no longer be available.

Morocco has refrained from taking sides in the dispute between Qatar and other Arab states. But some of the Gulf nations are close allies of Morocco, which is a member of the Saudi-led military coalition fighting in Yemen against the armed Houthi movement.

It is to mention that Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the Emirates and Egypt cut their diplomatic ties with Qatar and intended to isolate it through closing the borders with the rich oil state, accusing it of "supporting terrorism".
