Labour Minister: Overdue Salaries of Workers Will be Paid within Days

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Minister of Labor and Social Development Jameel Humaidan announced that the Ministry of Labor and Social Development has intensified its efforts in cooperation and coordination with the competent authorities to put an end to the issue of a company's non-payment of its workers' salaries over a period of months.
Humaidan confirmed that an agreement was made with the said company to pay the overdue wages of its workers within days, adding that the Ministry will directly supervise the process of collecting the allocated amounts to settle all the due payments, as well as follow up the urgent disbursement of the wages.
Cash payments were immediately made to meet the necessary living necessities of the workers prior to the company's payment of arrears in accordance with the agreement.
