He explained that there is always "issues between our two countries or other counties. They have been solved through the right channels".
Bin Jabor, who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Qatar for several years, stated that isolating Iran ended by isolating Qatar.
The Gulf States that cut relations with Qatar claim that that we have a very special relation and we sympathize with Iran and finance terrorism. The former PM said in this regards "First of all, with Iran if you take it from commercial base, Qatar maybe 1% to the thousand compared to the other Gulf States trading with Iran."
Hamad bin Jassim said "We are in a different position with Iran in the Syrian war and its position from Bashar Al-Asad," indicating that there is "normal and good relation with Iran because we are neighbours and we share gas field." He went on to say that these relations do not mean that we are against our allies and brothers in the GCC.
The former PM demanded that the international law to tackle the violations made by the countries that have isolated Qatar asking: "Where is the International Law?" He added that these countries have cut the food supplies, ripped families and closed airspaces and the sea routes.
Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani said that the first step to find out a solution to the crisis is to activate the role of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He added that the United States of America, as an ally of all parties, should stand at the same distance from everyone. "If there is any problem, the Qataris will correct it without hesitation," he stressed.
He announced that there has not been any disruption in the Qatari-US relations before the Gulf crisis. He expressed confidence that Washington will deal with the Gulf matter fairly when the truth is clear.
As for the situation in Syria, bin Jabor confessed that "In Syria everybody made mistakes, including the US. As time passed we discovered that some groups have other agendas and we stopped dealing with them one after another." He stressed that these mistakes were not intentional pointing that the terrorist organizations "If they are finished with Syria, they will come to us".
