Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Security Authorities released on Wednesday (July 26, 2017) detained sisters Fatima and Iman Abdullah on bail worth BD 1000. Their trial, however, continues. This comes weeks after arrested them, and keeping them in custody of the women prison.

Security forces had staged a vast break in campaign last June into houses of citizens in the besieged town of Diraz, and arrested many citizens, among them two sisters from the family of Ali Abdullah, and one of these sisters' husband. One of them was released later, while Fatima and Iman remained in custody.

Authorities escalated the campaign to target women since last Ramadan. They have assaulted many women in house break-ins in many areas, among them prominent human rights defender Ibtisam All-Saegh, who is subjected to torture in light of increasing concerns over her health.

Remaining in Bahraini prisons are Taiba Darwish, Faten Hussein, Mona Habib, Amira al-Qasha'mi, Hamida Jomaa', Hajar Mansour, Najah Ahmad, Madina Ali, and activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh.
