Bahrain Mirror: Former Minister Mansour bin Rajab paid 72000 BD pursuant to a court's decision to immediacy pay the fine or else he will face imprisonment. However, it was not known whether he was released or is going to serve his 6-year jail term in cases related to checks without balance.

The authorities executed 2 days ago an arrest warrant against Bin Rajab who spent his night in the pre-detention waiting to be transferred to the execution judge this morning. Mansour was referred the following morning to the execution judge (judge Adeela Habib) who bound him to pay 72,000 BD as a fine for the auction of his son's estates immediately or else he will face a one week imprisonment. Then, he made his calls to bring the due amount.

After the devolution of his son's estate and announcing an auction to sell his belongings, the former minister entered the auction and bought some assets for 145,000 BD, however, he didn't pay the amount. Thus, lawyer Ali Al-Araibi, the client's attorney, brought a case against him. The demands included an order to arrest him and the fifth execution court issued an arrest warrant against him.

Bin Rajab's daughter in law gave birth to a baby girl hours before her husband passed away. However, the grandfather started to take measures against his son's widow, he expelled her from the apartment she was living in and refused to give her a car owned by her deceased husband. Thus, she filed a lawsuit against Bin Rajab to receive her rights and her daughter's rights from her husband's inheritance.

It is to mention that the former minister has been already convicted in other cases and sentenced to 6 years in prison in 2 cases of checks without balance. He faces several cases; a civilian case in which he was required to pay for a land he bought for his wife and failed to pay. A production company also demanded him to pay 4000 BD for a documentary about his late son. Bin Rajab also faces a case brought forth by the editor-in-chief of a weekly newspaper he owned.
