Bahrain King Receives Two US Envoys to Discuss Crisis with Qatar

Bahrain Mirror: King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received, at Al-Safriya Place, US Administration Special Envoy Retired General Anthony Zini and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Arabian Peninsula Affairs- Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs- Timothy A. Lenderking, who arrived in Bahrain to find out a solution for the crisis with Qatar.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the King reviewed with the US envoys strong historic relations binding the two friendly countries and ways of further bolstering joint ties at all levels as well as the latest regional and international developments.
In the same context, the two US envoys met the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, who praised Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-US cooperation over the years, commending the US unwavering stance on confronting all forms of terrorism.

Lenderking will arrive in the Gulf region this week to meet with officials there to help resolve a diplomatic crisis between Qatar, Reuters quoted a State Department official.
