Authorities Set up More Cement Barriers in Diraz

Bahrain Mirror: The security authorities continued to impose more restrictions on residents of Diraz that has been suffering from tight siege since June 2016 and placed more cement barriers inside the village.
Photos circulated by activists showed that the authorities blocked one the village's roads with cement barriers, which increase the sufferings of the residents.
The authorities have imposed security siege on Diraz since June 2016, over the background of the sit-in held outside the house of spiritual leader of Shia majority Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim.
The authorities forcibly dispersed Diraz protest on May 23, 2017 which left 5 killed, dozens injured and about 300 arrested. They then put Sheikh Qassim under house arrest and continued their siege on the village.
