National Institute for Human Rights to Hold Press Conference Next Week to Announce Results of its Prison Visits

Bahrain Mirror: The National Institute for Human Rights (NIHR) is holding a press conference in its headquarters in Bahrain's Seef on the undeclared visits conducted by the NIHR commission as well as the General Secretariat of some correctional institutions (prisons) and places of detention to monitor the human rights situation during the coming week.
The NIHR president Saeed Al-Faihani said that making such visits and announcing their outcomes in a press conference is deemed "a very transparent step that contributes to the development of institutional work and creates a framework for improving the performance of correctional institutions and places of detention."
