5-Year Jail Term Handed down to Suspect, 10-Year Jail Term to 3 Others over Assembling, Burning Tires in Amman Street

Bahrain Mirror: The Supreme Court of Appeal handed down a suspect out of 6 suspects, whose ages range between 15 and 24 years, 5-year jail term instead of 10 years, for being convicted along with others of burning tires in Amman Street and putting a hoax bomb.
The court upheld a 10-year jail verdict issued against 3 appellants because they did not attend their trial sessions and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
The authorities claim that they reached the suspects through confidential sources, investigations and a notice from an employee in the Bahrain Defence Force
The Public Prosecution accused the suspects of deliberately setting fire, along with other unknowns, on 6/9/2015, to movables that would put people's lives and money to danger and for a terrorist aim, putting, along with other unknowns, a hoax bomb in a public place, for a terrorist aim, as well as taking part, along with other unknowns, in an assembly of more than 5 persons, aiming at disrupting public peace, noting that they used violence to achieve the aim they gathered for.
