CBS Limits Overtime Hours for Government Employees to 30

Bahrain Mirror: Civil Service Bureau (CSB) President, Ahmed bin Zayed Al-Zayed, issued Civil Service Instructions 5/2017 for regulating, managing, implementing and controlling the manpower expenditure budget of the governmental entities for the fiscal years 2017-2018. The instruction is in line with the financial regulations to manage, implement and control of the government's general budget, which was promulgated by Law 20/2017 on adopting the government's general budget for the fiscal years 2017-2018.
CSB president explained that issuing these instructions comes within the CSB responsibilities in helping and directing the governmental bodies in the best way to make use of the manpower expenses budget so that these bodies achieve their aims and programs.
He explained that the instructions tackled the overtime work and stipulated that the employee doesn't exceed 30 hours of overtime work per month, while stressing the need not to prejudice the right of the employee and his compensation for overtime work as well as not to delay paying the overtime for employees and make sure that financial funds needed for this do exist.
