2017-10-19 - 2:55 am
Bahrain Mirror: The Inspection Department at the Secretariat of the capital Manama announced that owners of Ashura-related food stands are violating the law, and placed notices ordering the removal of these food stands or else the Secretariat will remove them itself.
The Secretariat further explained that the directive was clear from the beginning, which is that licenses are only valid for first 10 days of the holy month of Muharram, noting that coordination took place between the Secretariat and the service and security authorities. Accordingly, all food stands are currently being removed without exception, given that no licences were issued after the said period of ten days.
