Bahrain Mirror: The High Court of Appeals upheld a one-year prison sentence handed down to a couple for harboring at their home their wanted nephew, who is sentenced to 10 years in prison for burning the Al-Khamees police station, while aware of the conviction. The court; however, decided to suspend the wife's execution of the sentence for three years.
It is noteworthy that the penalty enforcement judge had ordered at the time of the first degree verdict suspending the execution of the sentence of the wife for a year, i.e. until her husband finishes serving his term, since the couple have a newborn baby and four children under the age of fifteen.
The Public Prosecutor's Office had stated that between August and November 2016, the defendants had hid the wanted convict, sentenced to 10 years, while aware of conviction at their home in Sanabis.
