Protests Staged in Bahrain in Solidarity with Ayatollah Qassim and Detained Opposition Figures

Bahrain Mirror: Hundreds of people staged protests in different villages across Bahrain on Friday (October 20, 2017), demanding to end the house arrest imposed on the spiritual leader of Shia majority Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and in solidarity with the opposition figures who are detained over leading popular protests in February 2011.
Protestors took the streets in different areas west of the capital, Manama, held photos for Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and chanted slogans demanding to put an end to Al Khalifa monopoly over power.
Al-Musalla, Bu Quwah, Al-Sehla, Karana, Diraz, Shahrakan, Damistan, Al-Malikiya, Sitra, Al-Ma'amir and Al-Dair witnessed crowded protests.
The authorities have imposed house arrest on Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim since they dispersed the protestors in Diraz on (May 23, 2017).
