Bahrain Mirror: Human rights activists said that the authorities refused to release prisoner of conscience Ibrahim Karimi, who was stripped of his citizenship, after serving his prison term, as he was transferred to the prison of nationality and passports and residence affairs as an introduction to transfer him to Bahrain International Airport to forcibly deport him.
Karimi is one of the citizens whose citizenships were revoked. Bahrain's Second Cassation Court upheld a verdict ruling the 2 year and 1 month imprisonment and 2100 BD fine against prisoner of conscience Ibrahim Karimi, after the Public Prosecution accused him of charges related to freedom of opinion and conscience, including insulting the Kings of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and inciting hatred against the regime.
