Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport, announced that Bahrain's national carrier, Gulf Air, and Cathay Pacific provide now self-service check-in measures through new kiosks, which provide more speed and flexibility during the process of registering the passengers data.
BAC said that it is expected that other Airlines would apply this system within the coming months. This will form a new turn in the passengers' experience in Bahrain International Airport.
BAC had assigned SITA, air transport communications and IT solutions company, to install self-service check-in kiosks in the Airport to avoid the lanes and decrease waiting times. Tradition office travel services will remain open to the passengers so that they are given more choices.
Four Kiosks were installed in the economy class and two in the first and business class check-in area.
