6-Month Jail Term Issued against 2 Shiite Clerics

Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court sentenced on Wednesday (November 1, 2017) two Shiite clerics to 6 months in jail over assembling in Manama in 2011.
A lawyer familiar with the case said that first instance court issued a 6-month jail term against Sheikh Adel Al-Shaala and Sheikh Hani Al-Bazaz and set 100 BD bail to halt execution of sentence until the appeals.
The security authorities launch wide security campaign against Shia majority. They summon and arrest number of Shiite clerics over charges related to assembling and inciting hatred against the regime.
