Bahrainis Make up Only 45% of Bahrain's Population

Bahrain Mirror: The latest statistics published by Bahrain's Information and eGovernment Authority revealed that the Bahraini population reached 1,501,000, of which 45% are Bahrainis that amounted to 677,000 compared to 823,000 foreigners. With this year's new record, the difference in the population between the current year and last year reached 77,000, confirming that the number of newborns reached 214 per day.
The number of males in this year's statistics reached 951,000, 607,000 of whom are foreigners, compared to 549,000 females, 215,000 of whom are foreigners. 38.5% of citizens and residents are concentrated in the Capital Governorate which thus occupies the first rank among the country's four governorates in terms of population, comprising 577,000 people. The total number of children in Bahrain (0-19 years age group), according to recent figures, is 373,000, while the number of foreign children in the same age group amount to 97,000 more. The number of people in the age group 20-50 years reached 930,000, with 710,000 foreigners.
The number of Bahrainis from the age of 70 to 85 years and above has declined, as the number of people aged 70-74 reached 7,500, while the number of persons aged 75-79 reached 5,600, aged 80-84 years reached 2,830 and aged 85 years and above reached 2,312.
