Prosecution Imprisons Citizen who Claimed Traffic General Directorate Imposed New Fees

Bahrain Mirror: The Southern Governorate's chief prosecutor Nawaf Al-Awadi said that the public prosecution received a notice from the cybercrimes directorate stating that an individual circulated footages on social media outlets falsely claiming that the general directorate of traffic imposed new fees.
The prosecution investigated the incident as soon as it received the notice and questioned the defendant in the presence of his lawyer. The defendant admitted that he recorded the videos and published them on his page on one of the social media outlets. The prosecution ordered his imprisonment after accusing him of misusing telecommunication devices.
