BFHR: Enforced Disappearance of 5 Citizens and 2 Children Continues

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain Forum for Human Rights (BFHR) said that it monitored enforced disappearance cases of 7 citizens, including 2 children, from 5 Bahraini villages until November 16, 2017, indicating that the security authorities have recently resorted to the enforced disappearance crime as a means of pressure and revenge against detainees arrested over cases related to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.
BFHR pointed out that the two children are Sadiq Jaafar Al-Sammak from A'ali, who has been disappeared since 42 days (since October 5, 2017) and Mohsen Abdullah Al-A'ali from Buri, who has been disappeared since 8 days (since November 8, 2017).
The forum further stated that the arrested people are from Barbar, Jurdab and Ma'amir, adding that 3 enforced disappearance cases were recorded in Ma'amir since November 8, 2017.
Bahrain Forum for Human Rights indicated that the other citizens who were enforcibly disappeared are: Khalil Ibrahim Al-Wadaie, from Barbar, who has been disappeared since November 7 as well as Hussein Ibrahim Al-Fardan from Jurdab, who has been disappeared since November 8. The rest of citizens are from Ma'amir village; they are: Hassan Jaafar Mahdi, Mahmoud Abdulzahraa Isa and Ali Abdulzahraa Isa.
