Municipalities: 30 Million BD Increase in 2017 Revenues Compared to Last Year

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Minister of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Issam Khalaf said municipal revenues will rise to 90 million dinars in 2017, after it reached 60 million in 2016, a surge of 30 million dinars in one year.
The minister said in response to a parliamentary question that the total until the end of last September amounted to 67 million dinars. The minister reported that municipal debt arrears from fees and rents of municipal property dropped to 29 million dinars at the end of September, after it had reached 39 million dinars in early 2015, a decline of 25 percent.
