Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa met US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, US Secretary of Defence Jim Mattis, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Paul Ryan, and United States Senate Majority Leader Senator Mitch McConnell.

State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said that Tillerson's meeting with the Crown Prince discussed "countering Iran's malign activities in the region, the importance of resolving the ongoing Gulf dispute, and other bilateral and regional issues of mutual concern."

During his meeting with US Secretary of Defence Jim Mattis, the two leaders extended US-Bahrain Defense Cooperation Agreement.

An official statement said that the Bahraini Crown Prince met Speaker of the US House of Representatives Paul Ryan and discussed "topics of mutual interest." Another official statement announced that the Crown Prince's meeting with United States Senate Majority Leader Senator Mitch McConnell tackled "the need to strengthen international policy coordination and strategies to counter terrorism and extremist ideologies".
