Bahrain Mirror: Iranian Parliament's General Director for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian urged the United Nations to intervene and pay due attention to violations of human rights in Bahrain, following the deterioration of Bahrain's Shia spiritual leader Sheikh Isa Qassim's health.
"The health condition of Sheikh Isa Ahmed Qassim has been reported to be extremely poor and critical," he underlined in a new tweet on his official Twitter page.
The Iranian official further called on the United Nations to pay close attention to the systematic human rights violations in Bahrain before "a wider political explosion erupts" in the island kingdom.
