Appeal Court: Six Defendants Sentenced to 3-Year Prison Term over Assembly in Buri

Bahrain Mirror: The Sixth High Court of Appeal in Bahrain sentenced six defendants to three years in prison instead of five years over charges of assembling and burning tires in the Buri area.
The first-instance court had sentenced eight defendants to five years in prison and five others to two years over the charges raised against them.
The Prosecutors' Office stated that on December 4, 2015:
Firstly, they along with other unknown suspects set fire to tires endangering people's lives and properties.
Secondly, they and unknown individuals took part in an assembly of more than five people, whose purpose was to disturb public security, using violence to achieve the purpose for which they gathered.
Thirdly, they acquired and had possession of flammable bottles for the purpose of using them to endanger people's lives and properties.
