Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court adjourned the case of the President of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) and prominent human rights defender, Nabeel Rajab, until January 15 for closing arguments.

This court session was supposed to take place on December 31, but the court suddenly decided to expedite the hearing.

During the session, the attesting witness (an Interior Ministry employee) and one of the men who supervised the confiscation of Rajab's electronic devices were put on the stand.

Rajab is being tried in this case due to his tweets criticizing the war on Yemen, and other tweets demanding putting an end to the torture in Jaw prison, where thousands of political detainees are held.

Rajab's Twitter account said the session was attended by representatives from the US Embassy and other Western embassies.
