Local Newspaper Says Number of Voters in Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elections Reached about 100 Thousand

Bahrain Mirror: The local "Akhbar Al-Khaleej" newspaper said that those who have the right to vote in the 29th election session of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reached about 100.000 voters.
The newspaper said that those who have the right to vote increased from 6000 voters last year to over 100.000 voters, following a decision issued last year binding all commercial institutions in the country to be members in the chamber.
Around 3000 members of the chamber took part in the elections last year.
The membership fees in the chamber of commerce is 20 BD for small institutions whose capitals are less than 20 thousand BD and 30 BD for large companies whose capitals exceed 20 thousand BD.
