Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society dubbed the death penalty verdicts issued against 6 citizens as "fool", stressing that the cases are absurd and baseless.
Al-Wefaq said in a statement on Monday (December 25, 2017) that these sentences and their conditions are void, adding that they were based on inhumane measures extracted under brutal torture using illusion killing, torture under electricity, threats to abuse family members and enforced disappearance for over a year.
It added that the international community has to liberate itself from petrodollar pressures in front of these crimes and violations related to absence of justice in Bahrain.
The society said that the authority in Bahrain is not qualified to rule the country due to its punitive and reckless policies, adding that the simplest rights of people in judiciary are violated.
Al-Wefaq pointed out that the absence of state and institutions put the world in front of a historic responsibility to move to save the majority of Bahrainis who live under repression, oppression and persecution of the ruling group.
